SINGULARITY: JOSH HARTNETT SHOOTING IN INDIA!

Hollywood star Josh Hartnett is shooting in Bhopal for his upcoming epic time travel adventure film ‘Singularity

Hollywood star Hugh Jackman’s flight has probably not even landed in the US and another Hollywood celebrity has touched down in India. Pearl Harbor star Josh Hartnett will reportedly be shooting in Bhopal for 30-days for acclaimed director Roland Joffe’s (City Of Joy [1992]) new film, Singularity. The film’s leading lady is the dusky Bipasha Basu, who with her captivating looks has proved her acting prowess in films like Corporate (2006), Omkara (2006) and Sob Choritro Kalponik (2009) (an off beat Bengali film).

According to sources, Josh Hartnett plays a British officer in 1780′s India who will be performing some deadly stunts along with love interest Bipasha who plays a Maratha warrior. As is the custom with every Hollywood star India visit, Josh will visit the Taj Mahal with director Roland Joffé after the shoot. However, Bipahsa will be unable to join her crew due to the slated release of Dum Maro Dum.

It seems that Bipasha is making up for her absence by buying miniature gifts for the entire team of Singularity. A disappointed Bipasha said, “I was planning a big party for them, but the cast leaves soon after the shoot. This time I can’t host a bash for them, but I will surely do so closer to the release of the film in India”.

Currently, Josh Hartnett is getting accustomed to the Madhya Pradesh temperature. The shoot begins on April 1st, 2011. Singularity is being produced by Paul Breuls’ Corsan NV and Dale G. Bradley’s Limelight International Media Entertainment. The cast includes Scream actress Neve Campbell, Bond girl and Olga Kurylenko. The film also stars a host of Bollywood actors like Abhay Deol, Milind Gunaji, and Atul Kulkarni.

All arrived in Orchha hotels are full because there was a Hollywood movie set (Singularity, with Josh Hartnett !!!). A child has grabbed my arm and taken to a guesthouse where still a room was free. That turned out to be the chamber of the casting directors of the supporting cast of that movie. Two brothers and a sister from Khajuraho, where I just came from. When I asked if she had a small role for me they were completely entausiast and they gave me the stars of heaven promised. They have taken me to the director but ultimately had no time to see me. Since then they (Lata, Amit and Dinesh) a sort of adopted me and treated me like a god. They show me the town, took me to set me up and put down the best places, made me not hungry ...definitely a strange event. They even have an illegal private meeting with one of the locals a chicken from his farm house they had oral sex and gives purchased (which in India is not really normal because of the faith). When I said I just prefer my beer from the bottle instead drank a glass of it at all layers Dual haha.
Am finally one week left to get a little help with the dressing of the actors and iedeen from the village / the movie knew me. Myself with the big boss that talked of the film offered me a job as an accountant until the end of April! But here, finally got to travel and not the office all day to sit so I thank you kindly. My friends do have a casting roll for me managed to decorate. On 8 and 9 April, the recordings so I decided to first a week to travel and come back later for the role. She would hardly let me go! But again comittee a swing at the station.

So is now in Sanchi, a small village in the middle of Madhya Pradesh where I like a real Dutchie a bike I rented on the familiar two wheeler all the beautiful things around venture out!

ps The photos will later duuuuuuuurt langggg"

"The actor's currently busy shooting for her Hollywood flick 'Singularity' in Occhra a small town in Madhya Pradesh and despite the non-availability of the gym facilities that she's used to, she's not missing out her work-outs at all. "We swim, do yoga, and use the trampoline. You don't need to hit the gym to stay fit," she clarifies.

So, is she getting Hollywood star Josh Hartnett (her co-star in the film) hooked on to her fitness regime too? "Oh he is very health conscious himself. In fact, he's got a rather super-fit bod. And he loves playing badminton. Yes. I think that's his secret!" she smiles."

Hollywood’s tryst with the cricket bug

Actress Bipasha Basu was not able to cheer the men in blue from the stands at Wankhede in the city, as she was away in Occhra shooting for her Rolland Joffe directed flick Singularity during the recent cricket World Cup finals, but she insists that she didn’t miss out any of the action.

The film, that also stars Hollywood star Josh Hartnett (of Pearl Harbour fame), is currently being shot in the interiors of Madhya Pradesh. However, gauging the mood, the unit had apparently decided to call off the shoot on the day of the finals and instead, caught the action on the big screen back in the palace where they had been put up. And it wasn’t only the Bolly guys cheering —Bips also got the Hollywood unit rooting for Team India, as they swept the Cup home.

“Well, cricket’s not exactly an American game, but I think we managed to get both Rolland and Josh hooked to cricket. They even watched our boys beat Pakistan and by the time they watched the finals, they understood the game even better,” reveals Bips.

Talking about the evening of the historic win, she recalls, “One of our unit members even arranged for big blue bindis for all of us and we were sporting it all through the game.” What made it all the more amazing, she adds, is the fact that here was a group of phirangs cheering for the team like it was their own. “I think sports and films are truly universal in that sense.”

Of course, the actress does admit to helping out Josh understand the finer nuances of the game, but according to her, “Josh got a pretty good hang of it. In fact, I think they will follow the game even after they return back home. It’s hard not to fall for the charms of the game,” she adds.

Unfortunately, the actress hasn’t been able to celebrate the success with her own friends or members of the team and it seems like that will have to wait for a few more weeks. “Yes, I’m on a rather tight schedule. Within a few days of wrapping up Singularity, I have to leave for a rather gruelling shoot in Russia, where we will be shooting for Players in sub-zero temperatures,” she reveals. From shooting in 44 degrees plus weather in MP to minus zero in Russia? “Yes, it’s going to be crazy for my health, I think, but it’s going to be a real challenge shooting at such an interesting place where no Bollywood film has ever been shot before,” she
    concludes.
