BUNRAKU: ASIAN PREMIERE AT MUMBAI FILM FESTIVAL SLATED FOR OCTOBER 24, 2010

Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) is pleased to announce that BUNRAKU will be screening on October 24, 2010 as part of the World Cinema section at the Mumbai International Film Festival 2010. The World Cinema section focuses on screening the best films from all over the world produced within one calendar year before the festival dates. These films are screened in a non-competitive format.The aim is to bring to the Indian Film Industry professionals and viewers in general the latest global trends in film making. The films screened in this section are eligible for Audience Choice award (approximately US$ 20,000 and Silver Gateway) and Mumbai Young Critics award (Silver Gateway).

The 12th edition of the Mumbai Film Festival is a melting pot of the very best of cinema from around the world. Organized by Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI), a body comprised of Indian film industry stalwarts which was founded in 1997 by late filmmaker Shri Hrishikesh Mukherjee, the 12th edition of the festival is scheduled from October 21 to October 28, 2010 in Mumbai, the film capital of India.A Reliance Big Entertainment initiative Mumbai Film Festival has the distinction of being the only international film festival in India to be organized by an independent body of practicing film professionals. Offering something to every film buff, the Festival is divided into five sections viz. International Competition for the First Feature Films of Directors, World Cinema, Indian Frame, Dimensions Mumbai and Retrospectives. Jane Campion, Academy Award winner, Hollywood-based filmmaker, screen writer and producer will be the President of the Jury.

Maybe, SINGULARITY will be shooting in India and in Australia (Brisbane).
