Josh Hartnett looks dapper he makes rare red carpet appearance to promote his latest movie Oh Lucy in Paris... after becoming a dad for the second time

He is notoriously private and only confirmed his second baby with his girlfriend Tamsin Egerton when they stepped out with a double buggy in August.

But Josh Hartnett ensured he was the centre of attention when he made a rare red carpet appearance to promote his latest movie Oh Lucy in Paris, France on Monday.

The American actor, 39, looked incredibly dashing in his smart two-piece suit, complete with a white shirt and black tie.

Hunky Josh slicked his brunette tresses off his face to proudly show off his handsome features.

The Black Hawk Down star was happy to be joined the director of Oh Lucy Atsuko Hirayanagi on the red carpet.

Oh Lucy tells the story of a lady who falls head-over-heels in love with her English teacher (Josh) in Japan but when he disappears from his native Los Angeles, she goes on a mission to find him.

It was the Pearl Harbor star's first red carpet appearance since the arrival of his second child in the summer of 2017.

The couple didn't share their pregnancy news publicly as they chose to keep the exciting arrival under wraps.

However, 29-year-old Tamsin seemingly confirmed she was expecting a second baby at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party in February by poking fun at her pregnancy diet. 

According to People, the St Trinians actress had indulged in a few beignets at the bash before she joked of the fried pastry snack: 'This is not feeding the baby nourishment!' 

The pair, who have been going strong since 2012, welcomed their first baby into the world in 2015 but her name remains unknown.

In 2016, Josh gave a rare insight into the couple's lives as parents as he gushed having a child had 'put everything into perspective'.

Speaking on the Live! With Kelly and Michael show, he explained: 'I mean, your ego melts away when you have a new kid. Your heart kind of leaves your body and you give it permission to walk around with someone else for a while.

'It’s really terrifying but it’s beautiful. I love it more than anything. I wish I would have started it earlier. But I’m so glad that she is the one I’m raising.'

Despite admitting having a newborn was tiring, he said: 'The best moments are when you have those individual moments alone in the middle of the night.'
