Josh lines up for the thriller "Gunslinger"

Josh Hartnett has lined up for the lead role in “dystopian action-thriller” Gunslinger, set in post-apocalyptic America. He will play Sev, who sets out with his brother Jake to seek revenge for the murder of their parents. Chris Nahon (Blood: The Last Vampire) directs. “This story takes a unique and startling look at what might happen when the lawlessness of the Old West returns…but with better weapons,” said Mark Williams, who is producing with Albert Martinez Martin. Gunslinger is set to shoot in Canada in early 2010.

As you say let's hope for the best (or a miracle) ... I cannot think Josh get involved in that project without any guarantees. He has a name to protect after all. You see how confused I am. We don't deserve to worry so much about Josh's hapiness and career. Is it a life? Yeah right a fan's life.

Unfortunately, I also believe many of your theories may be right. But let's hope for the best...

Well sometimes I wish I could analyse a little less June. I have made up my mind and although I think it is good for Josh to go back to work I think this movie will turn short. Chris Nahon has not done one decent movie in his whole career. And he had the opportunity to perform well. He worked with actors such as Jet Li and Jean Reno. I think the producers should have chosen someone else. I hope he is not in charge as well of the screenplay. I really have a bad feeling. Josh must work but he cannot aford a flop. ICWTR so far did well. Let us see who they gonna cast to play alongside Josh. I guess the budget of the film is not much and Chris Nahon simply does not have the reputation and trackrecord to attract big guns.

Well the thing is they have not yet finalized the casting. They need to cast a quality actor to star as the professor, and one to star as the coach. So far they have only cast (as far as we know) the football star (Josh), the school beauty (Kate Dening) and the publicist (Sam Rockwell). But this project is delayed for too long Josh will be unable to play his part ; he looks already a little bit too old to play a young student don't you think ?

I've been wondering what & if anything was going to happen with EndZone?

He may even have time to shoot EndZone before the lensing of Gunslinger starts.

The pic will apparently make full use of Canada's snowy terrain.

In the not too distant future, energy crises and terrorist attacks reduce America to a savage, lawless wilderness. It’s a 21st Century wild west, people fearfully huddling in small communities, protected by armed men.

I can't wait for this one. It's going to be good. So, he goes back to work next year.
