Awesome, thanks Olivier! You're the best at keeping us up to date on all of this! Please keep up the good work, we will all look forward to hearing more good news from you soon!!!
No need to apologize June ... I am sure you have a much better knowledge of Josh's career than I do.
If you check the link to actor Lee Byunghug fansite (see my second post) you will notice they are hoping the movie will be screened at the Pusan International Film Festival prior to its release in Korea. If so, the movie (and our dear Josh) may get a wide exposure in Asia throught media reports and find more distribution. Then if ICWTR is commercially successful in Asia where Lee Byunghung and Takuya Kimura are big stars, the movie may find more easily western distributors. For information, the PIFF festival, which is held annually in Korea, is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia. The 2009 edition is scheduled to take place from October 8 - October 16, 2009.
Well ICWTR was not filmed in Korea but in the Philippines and Hong Kong. Of course it does not excuse the fact that so far the movie has only been released in Japan.
I have contacted TF1 International to let them know how upset I am about the situation and the way they don't promote the movie. That is why they added pictures of the movie on their website as a matter of fact...
Let us hope we will hear soon about more release dates for Europe. So far the only release there is in Russia (5th november 2009). As for the US, how much I fear the movie may never be released in theaters.
Cool, thanks for the news. Imagine how upset the Korean fans have felt having to wait so long, considering part of the filming was done there?
Someday, will will hear better news for us all!
